8/26/97 - Revision of Said Goals. I wasn't intending to have a new finger .plan posted every day, certainly not because I believe in posting new content every single frigging day that I keep up with all these projects. Don't ask me how it was ever settled that the Soapbox would be updated weekly instead of daily or whenever I felt like it. I guess I just thought seven days was enough time to recouperate (okay, so I stretch it out to maybe twelve days at times) so I could write something else somewhat interesting. I can't do the whenever-you- feel-like-it updates. I have to do something regularly. If I were to do it at least every four days, I'd start feeling like I had to write new stuff every day. I don't like it when writing becomes effort. I don't like formal writing. Writing essays for class isn't all that fun because it's so formulaic. Creative writing is a bit different, but it's still done under the precise hand of academia. Most of the time, I have plenty to say, but not the style to pull it off to such a degree that people can't stop talking about it. Takes ranting and raving and cursing and yelling about something in order for it to receive feedback. Doesn't have the humor of, say, Lance's latest e-mail essay. Anyway, I don't use dates for the reason that I'm interested in having regular content. I use dates as placemarkers, so that this essay was written after that essay and so on. But because of all the hullaballoo going on in this guy's life, I'll be skipping a few days to catch up to the present .plan schedule. Besides, I don't feel like writing very much right now, so I hope I'm not required to turn in some paper the first week. The only person I feel like writing to at the moment is Anna. No one else. Such a comfort to have one person to share with when you don't feel like sharing with strangers or people very close to being strangers. All this just to explain I wouldn't have .plans for the days I missed! . . . c o m |-. ,-. ,-. |- . . ,-. ,-. ,-. ,-. | | |-' | | | | | | | | |-' | `-' `-' ' ' `' `-' ' ' ' `-' '
